Could you make a difference to people’s lives in South Africa?

The Footprints Foundation has places available for volunteers for Project South Africa 2020 in October/November.

Footprints are working with a number of schools and orphanages in South Africa, helping them to regenerate and improve their premises, and to counsel and educate the children in their care. The work involves a wide variety of tasks, both manual and non-manual, which need support.

As with previous international projects, volunteers have to raise a minimum of £2000 sponsorship for the trip before they go. Mears Group employees are eligible to apply but, before doing so, you must discuss with and get approval from your line manager.

New Year's resolutions ...

As the clock struck midnight on January 1st, millions of inspired people around the world pledged to honour their New Year's resolutions.

It's a New Year, and many people will be wanting to turn over a new leaf. That's what New Year's resolutions are for — to make improvements to our lives in some way.

Our goals still remain the same every year .....

  • to create new possibilities
  • to improve the life experience of a community/individual
  • to help people in need
  • to harness the goodwill, talents and skills within Mears Group to benefit charities that provide practical help and support to vulnerable people.

….. and, of course, have a lot of fun while helping others.

Happy New Year !

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”

As we await to turn a new auspicious page of our lives in 2020, we will all step into a new life of hopes, dreams and ambitions.

It's your kind donations of time and money that make the Mears Foundation possible and we're grateful for any support you can give.

Together we're making a difference, one day at a time...
