This year Melissa Scrivin and Anjie Cutts from Mears head office will be participating in the MF Spring Walks in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK. (ARUK)
Melissa completed the Prudential Ride London - Surrey 100 in July last year - a 100 mile ride following the 2012 London Olympic Road Race course.
This is basically the London Marathon for cyclists - 100 miles in one day (a "Century" ride) being a rite of passage for all road cyclists - and this one is on a grand scale!
Melissa support’s Alzheimer's Research UK, as her Grandad suffered from dementia late in life.
Melissa is a novice cyclist and only started the sport July 2016, so with a year's cycling under her belt it was always going to be fun....!
The Marathon was completed comfortably, but slowly, in just over 8 hours. Melissa managed to raise over £800 for ARUK
You too can support a chosen charity or the Mears Foundation.
The MF Spring walks kicks off on 22nd March.
